Dungarvan Festival of Food

With a wealth of natural resources from mountains, to fertile plains and small fishing harbours, it is understandable why County Waterford produces the best food in Ireland.  To celebrate the quality of food, the first Festival of Food held in mid-April 2000 was a resounding success, with a wide display of a variety of local food, together with the cookery demonstrations by celebrity chefs including Paul Flynn of the Tannery and Richard Corrigan. The 2008 Food Festival attracted over 10,000 to Dungarvan. Most people chose to ‘graze’ their way around Grattan Square sampling the many different dishes available and purchasing local produce from the many stalls.
