Comeragh Mountains

Coumshingaun one of county Waterfords best kept secrets is this amazing and magical glacial lake, the finest example of a corrie lake (formed by glacier movement during the ice age) in Europe. Coumshingaun is situated between two peaks in the Comeragh mountain range.

     



Mahon Falls is a must see for all visitors to the area. This area provides breathtaking sights in the most tranquil of settings. As well as the magnificant waterfall, visitors are also treated to an experience which can only be described as magical "The Magic Road". Stop at the fairy tree, situated a few yards from the road to your left, and turn off the engine.

To your amazement you will find that the car will travel backwards up the hill.
